What is the Y’s Annual Campaign?
The Annual Campaign is the Limestone family ymca’s annual fundraising drive to provide opportunities to people in our community who seek engagement and healthier lifestyles. Together we will raise more than $35,000 in 2018 to provide financial assistance to children, individuals and families who will benefit from the programs and membership at the Y, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are the driving force behind the Annual Campaign and help share the mission of the Y. We join together to tell “the Y story” to everyone in our networks: friends, family, colleagues, fellow members and program participants. The campaign is twofold – sharing the daily impact the Y has on people’s lives and raising funds for the financial assistance that is available to anyone.
Annual Campaign donations are an investment in our neighbors and our community, so together we become a better US. 100% of the funds raised at each location directly support the programs and services at that YMCA location. The money you give to your local Y stays at your Y.
Membership vs. Fundraising
The cost of membership at the Y covers operating expenses including but not limited to maintenance, staff, utilities and others. Donations are separate and are not applied to the Y’s overhead or campaign expenses. Fundraising is crucial to the Y so we can open doors to many in our communities who are looking to lead a healthier lifestyle, need out of school care, or want their children to have access to youth sports where they can build lasting friendships
